Hobro biogas plant
The Hobro biogas plant, located in northern mainland Denmark, was acquired by Gasum in November 2024. This is Gasum's first biogas plant in Denmark.
The Hobro biogas plant primarily uses manure in the biogas production process. Currently, this biogas is used for power and heat production at the plant and by the local district heating company, Klejtrup Varmeværk. Gasum acquired the plant through a business transaction in which it purchased all shares in Hærup Biogas ApS. Gasum plans to invest in a gas upgrading unit and a gas grid connection for the plant to fully utilize the existing production capacity.
